AT&T adding 44 more LTE markets by the end of the year

9

AT&T made pretty sizable gains with the launch of LTE in 14 new markets yesterday, and now they’ve confirmed even more markets will be out by the end of the year. They’ve stated we will be seeing 44 new markets by the end of the year.

We’d say their aggressive push to catch up to Verizon will be inspired not only by the great 4G capable Android devices already available for the carrier, but also by that bitten fruit phone that will be getting 4G for the first time.

Regardless of AT&T’s inspiration for getting it out, we’re glad they are. In case you wanted to see that list of 44 markets let your eyes wander below.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  3. Hit Bakersfield about 2 weeks ago. I’ve gotten speeds as high as 29 mbps. Still…….at&t still sucks ass!!!

  4. I live in Springfield mo and Verizon has had lte here for almost two years now but no lte for at&t what’s up with that crap!!!

  5. I hated AT&T in San Diego, but once getting an LTE phone it’s been pretty solid. I went to a concert recently and never lost signal or data, when everybody around me couldn’t even send a text.

Only problem is I don’t get LTE in my home, but I get 4-5 bars at my girlfriend’s home 5 blocks away.

  6. Anyone is San Jose, Santa Clara, Campbell, Cupertino and Sunnyvale area that has ATT LTE service.. Any feedback

  7. Been in New Haven Ct since Jan 25. It was just not announced till now. I’ve gotten 45mb down and 12mb up often. Highest down was 62mb in trenton new jersey and 18mb up in new haven.

    1. Yeah but from what I can tell (I live in CT) that area is VERY small and limited. Someone on HowardForums posted they got LTE but it was like only on the Yale Green and at the train station. Has that changed?

  8. Albany’s went live this weekend. I noticed it when my girlfriend pointed out that her phone now said lte below the 4g symbol… I did a speed test against my verizon galaxy nexus, and at&t unfortunately smoked it. She was getting close to 20mb down.
