By Verizon’s LG Intuition, an Optimus Vu variant, is poised to launch sometime soon and first press renders of the device have finally shown up. It still boasts that ridiculous 4:3 aspect ratio that makes it one of the more wider phones you’ll have ever carried.
The device doesn’t host any remarkable features outside that aforementioned aspect ratio, though we do know Verizon has elected to stick with the four button layout for navigation instead of using on-screen controls.
A nice 4G LTE logo graces the back, and we can see a camera with flash on the back (as well as one on the front to accompany it). That’s about it, though, as far as hardware.
The software side of things shows a glimpse at LG’s Optimus UI 3.0 running on top of Android 4.0.3. It’s possible we could see Jelly Bean by the time the Intuition arrives on store shelves, but I would definitely doubt it. [LG Optimus Vu]
It would be great for viewing web pages and stuff but not videos and would be uncomfortable to hold plus looks kinda ugly >.>
I like how it has all 5 capacitive buttons at the bottom, especially the menu button. HTC should take notes…
Where is the fifth button? I don’t see one for search.
Wow, Idk if I’m going crazy now… When I look up the LG Vu, that one has search button, but this one doesn’t, and it has been replaced with a recent apps button. I probably saw the recent apps and the search on the 2 models and got it mixed up. I swear I’ve seen it with 5 though….
Verizon is still getting imitation/knockoff phones, apparently.
The Samsung Galaxy Note was a hit, but Verizon gets the LG Intuition instead.
The HTC One X was a hit, but Verizon got the “HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE” instead.
I can’t complain too much about Verizon missing the Galaxy S2, since they got the Galaxy Nexus instead… but they even ruined that with a lack of updates.

The LG Intuition Verizon is about to get is a half-baked POS. It is
garbage. You have to be an idiot to buy a phone that ships with a stylus
made by a company that didn’t think far enough to include a place in
the phone to store the stylus. Verizon must think their customers are
morons to offer this phone.
I can’t believe Verizon screwed up by not getting the Note AGAIN… ?
What possessed Verizon to thinking this half-baked LG phone is comparable to the Galaxy Note 2? Sort of like comparing the Ford Fusion to a Mercedes S550.
