Soulja Boy tablet? You got it!

Tokova is not the most popular Android tablet manufacturer. In fact, I am willing to bet that about 99% of you probably haven’t even heard about it before. But when it comes getting respect in the mean streets of your neighborhood, this company’s tablets might be your best option. A good ol’ tablet just doesn’t seem to be enough for Soulja Boy fans, as the rapper has partnered with Tokova to release a couple exclusive tablets.

The Soulja Boy Edition tablets come in two versions – the Tokova Tiger Shark (image to the right) and Tokova Great White. Both feature an exclusive design with the singer’s name and image. Aside from that, these tablets offer the same as their original editions. Which makes it seem like Tokova is simply using Soulja Boy’s popularity to drive a few sales.

On paper, these tablets don’t seem as horrible as one would think. The $400 Tiger Shark is a 7-inch pad with Android 4.0, a 1.2 GHz processor and 64 GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Great White goes for $500 and offers a 9.5-inch display, Android 4.0, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

For what it’s worth, these seem like very capable devices. But they are rather expensive, at least considering the company’s fame (or lack thereof). And taking the competition into consideration, it is very hard for us to figure out who would be able to take advantage of these. Other than raging Soulja Boy fans.

If they follow Soulja Boy’s example, they probably like to throw away money and blow their noses with $100 bills. Wasting your money should be no issue. All 5 of you can now raid the store and get your new tablets now. I will stick with my Nexus 7.

  1. the fact this company is using solja bi*@#’s name is reason enough for me to never buy one of their products even if they prove themselves as a company.

    1. Was just going to post something like this :)

      1. Its basic marketing whoever a company places on its products or advertisements, their actions directly reflect the company. Solja boy is not the kind of person any company should gamble their image on.

  2. 9.5in screen, 2gb ram, 64gb storage, and with it being a 1.5ghz quad likely a Exynos SoC that sounds like a better deal than samsungs offering.

    1. You could get the Non-Soulja Boy edition…. lol. Yeah, it is not a horrible deal, just an unknown company.

      1. If the non soulja boy edition was $50 cheaper then it would be a damn steal. I looked and I can’t find a tablet at this price with those specs. And no, Tegra3 doesn’t count because its a crap SoC.

  3. Hell, I would most likely buy one of these… except it has a washed up singer on it. Soulja Boy’s name actually devalues this tablet more then helps it.

    1. calling him a singer is giving him too much credit. I still think dc comics should sue him for using the name superman in probably the worst song of all time. if they gave him permission then i have no idea what they were smoking.

    2. The fact that you called him a singer shows u know nothing of his horriblet work

  4. Who would be dumb enough to waste money on this?

    1. Not me. Its over rated just like Dr Dre Bass Beats head phones

  5. I wish I could find more specs on these. haven’t found much on either the soulja boy edition or the non soulja boy edition.

  6. Youuuuu…..

  7. Did I read the spec right? “the Great White goes for $500 and offers a 9.5-inch display, Android 4.0, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.” This will rival Tablet Note 10.1 before even 2013 iPad arrives!

    1. yes but do you want to fund soulja boy and his crap sounds?

      1. who cares, if the hardware is way better priced than whats out there. The big thing is whether or not its exynos or not cause tegra 3 sucks, and what kind of screen it is

      2. Theres also a non soulja boy version too, plus these tablets have phone functionality as well. So its the highest spec tablet/phone.

  8. They’re evolving….

  9. The only way to make this tablet less lame (but still lame), is to prefix “Ironic Hipster Edition” where it just says “Edition”, that way everyone knows that you’re at least in on the joke instead OF BEING the joke (well, hipsters are a joke too, but you get my point)… :)

  10. FAIL who is soulja boy??? i mean i know but hes not even popular enough to endorse a product……Fail

  11. Unfortunate across the board.

He would have been better off making skins for tablets that people might actually like to use.

  12. and I thought the patent system was bad…

  13. Actually I have been following this since I heard about it. Alot of soulja boy fans have shown support he has good image for it if anything the high price and bad press may effect consumers the wrong way

    1. You’re better off spending that money on an iPad than ever giving the rtard any money or promoting him

  14. Ha! This guy is joke!!

    1. in an interview on hot 97 he said his swag is all fake lol

  15. I waiting for the Billy Ray Cyrus edition to drop.

  16. If the price was cheaper and a cool UI I would purchase it for my link sis

  17. If you buy this tablet then yooouuuuuuuuu suck.

  18. lol a rapper who can’t rap!

  20. The paris hilton tablet comes with hand sanitizer and a bottle of astroglide for free!

  21. That’s kind of messed up of you dissing on Soulja Boy like that and his fans.

  22. It’s the dancing with the stars of android tablets

  23. I understand that he himself will be providing the ongoing firmware updates and support personally, so you KNOW it’s good.
(Insert Triumph the Insult Comic Dog line here)

  24. Soulja boy is OK, but putting him on a tablet is just stupid.

    1. No he’s not. He’s never OK. He’s trash.

  25. So theres a Non-soulja boy version for those you have a dignity

    Heres the specs

  26. Aaaaahhhhh yuuuuuuu

  27. I know someone who made a beat for him. Look up “every day is money”. As for the tablet those are great specs.

  28. you people hate like no tommorow. stop being jealous and respect Soulja for his hustle. Half of you can’t even get close to getting something like this for yourselves. Where’s your custom tablet or phone??? EXACTLY. $alute to SouljaBoy

    1. Way to go, poser. Keep sucking down that image and trying ever so hard to be a generic stereotype. Blend into the masses so that we never have to see you again.

    2. Soulja Boy? Is that you?? -_-

  29. lmao. I’m sure they suck just like his music.

  30. lol..why would they use this “singer” I rather buy it if it didn’t have his face and name on it

  31. Wow. First time I heard of this company and I already don’t like them. SB is trash.
