One of the first things I wanted to see is what sort of easter egg Google would include for the launch of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Just as I suspected, they gave us a new one and it’s pretty interesting.
Furiously tapping the “Android Version” list item in the Settings > About Phone menu will get you to the easter egg, and upon doing so you’re met with a very happy jelly bean.
Hold your finger down on its sweet, chewy face and you’ll get a sea of them ready to be whisked off the screen. That’s where the buck stops, though, so if you’ve got Jelly Bean on your Galaxy Nexus go ahead and try it.
The first thing i did when the happy bean popped up was hold down the screen, its like it was meant to be.
It was meant to bean :)
oh yes ty for correcting me
Sweet. I like how you tried to get all the Jelly Beans off and failed. Probably took you 45 minutes lol. And after you got addicted for that long you thought everyone else will only be entertained for “at least 5 seconds”.
Doubt it!
Hah! nah I’d never go that far.
I think it would have been cool if they had included accelerometer support and let you shake the phone to have all the beans shake on screen. That would probably bump up the entertainment factor to 6 seconds.
found something else weird that maybe an easter egg, its something under the launcher.. I found it a couple of ways but probably the easiest one was to link to it in something like nova launcher, if you hold the home screen in nova launcher then choose “shortcut” then “activities” and scroll the list down to the stock launcher one of the options listed is “Rocket Launcher” if you run the shortcut it comes up with a weird almost star field “warp pattern” with blue circles shooting by, touching the screen only makes the elements slow down..
not sure what it is.. just seemed weird and easter eggish.. :)
Update *confirmed* I didn’t realize this was a partial carry over easter egg from ICS.
Yea that was since Ice Cream Sandwich but still pretty cool.
Can we please get SimCity2000 easter eggs? Porntipsguzzardo!
