Sega has just announced that they’ll soon be releasing Football Manager Handheld 2012 for Android. A once-iOS exclusive, Football Manager Handheld allows users to take control of clubs in leagues from 12 different countries, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and Wales.
You can control club transfers, influence training and tactics, and more. Managing clubs during a live match day is the main attraction, but there’s also a Challenge mode where you’ll carryout short-term scenarios. The app will cost £6.99 in the Google Play Store when it launches, though that “when” part isn’t set in stone yet. Sega says to expect it over the next couple of weeks so we’ll keep our eyes peeled. YES!
Awesome I love Footy Manager!!!
*Soccer Manager*
FTFY
Seriously? I know that disliking the word soccer is a bit silly but the other way around, disliking calling it football, that makes zero sense.
I’m guessing Chris is American – they tend to refer to ‘American Football’ as just ‘Football’ … so I can see why he tends to think of it as ‘Soccer’.
(I live in Florida these days and still tend to confuse the natives by calling Football …. Football ;) )
stop embarrassing yourself
Soccer is actually slang going back to the two original leagues, one of which was The Association of Football. It was common to ask, “Are you an Assoc’r?” as slang, leading to the American preservation of that slang – soccer.
Oh God no! There goes all my productivity.
Oh well, there’s goes the rest of my free time
Glad you’re looking forward to the game chaps, if anyone has specific questions about it then please post them here, I’ll be back sporadically to answer them.
Sounds pretty sweet… would love a Baseball GM game
Petition Markus who makes “Out of the Park Baseball”, they already make a version for iPhones (iOOTP) and might be persuaded to bring it over to Android if enough people show an interest …
Damn, the only game i’ll ever play on a phone is now coming to android. While I was an iPhone guy, i hated that the FM was available, coz I literally spent hours on it. But now that I grew some brain and switched to Android, I was liking no FM, helped me save time….and now, here goes away my life. I can’t not buy it, after all, it is the best game ever. I guess i’ll just have to do with failing CFA.
