If the deal between the LightSquared failed, there is
Clearwire’s deal that would replace the former LTE service provider. With Sprint
breaking the deal with LightSquared, the final decision was made to call off
the services to allow it to build out its planned network. If the permission to
use the spectrum that was classified for the use of satellite, perhaps this
scenario would not arise today.
Clearwire is apparently in a deal with Cricket/Leap. So perhaps not.
