The Motorola DROID X2 is the latest device in a round of soak tests ad OTAs going out for Motorola phones on Verizon. Of course, we never know what these soak tests may bring before official information is released but we can probably rule Ice Cream Sandwich out. If history is anything to go by, we should know what we’re dealing with before two weeks’ time. Be sure to start backing up your stuff just in case. [via Droid-Life]
too kewl, i recently bought 2 of them for my wife and myself.
whatever they throw our way is cool by me.
when they flip the switch on our local tower to 4G, we’ll get 2 DROID-MAXX’s and a XYBOARD.
Seems as though this is moto’s way of getting rid of the hacked droidx/droid2 and droid x2’s
If you value the roms you have now on any of those devices I cannot recomend anyone updates to any new OTA moto is throwing out there atm.
This should really be part of the article. We saw it a few weeks ago with the update to the DX, root was blocked and SBFing to previous versions will brick the phone. Anyone rooted or running a ROM on their DX2 would do best to let others run this update first.
another root bites the dust..
