Swiftkey X keyboard on sale, in celebration of over 5 million downloads

14

Finding the right on-screen keyboard is one of the first quests one takes when jumping in the Android bandwagon. There is a plethora of options, but Swiftkey X happens to be one of the favorite apps for many of us. And as we always say, the best way to prove this is with your wallet. And it is a good time to pull it out, as this mind-reading keyboard is 25% off today, in celebration of breaking the 5 million download threshold.

If you haven’t used this keyboard yet, it is arguably the best when it comes to predictions and auto-corrections. The applications learns your typing habits as you use it, but if you are in a rush, it can also learn by giving it access to your Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and SMS. Those that have tried it can attest to the fact that it really does feel like it is reading your mind.

In addition, TouchType has updated the app to support more languages. Now supporting over 35 languages, Swiftkey is more than likely to be available in yours.

The offer applies to both the Swiftkey X and Swiftkey Tablet X applications. Only for this weekend, these apps will cost $3 and $3.75, relatively, from the Android Market. So if you haven’t yet purchased these ones, it is definitely worth the time and few bucks.

But tell us what you think. Is this the keyboard you are using, as well? If not, which one do you prefer?

  1. I got it when it was 10 cents and I love it.

    1.  I did the same, great keyboard.

  2. Or get it free if you’re a VIP…yeahhhhh :D

  3. The best keyboard on Android? I think so

  4. swiftkey rocks!!!! best app I got through amazon’s free app of the day….worth paying for it if you haven’t already!

  5. bought it when it first came out. the best keyboard.

  6. I really liked this keyboard when it was first released and used it exclusively. Then at one point some updates messed with the accuracy of the predictions and ended up in some serious functionality glitches. I uninstalled it and, even after occasionally giving it another chance, it still falls short of apps like FlexT9, in my opinion.

  7. Ever since I got the SwiftKey X, I jizz in my pants everytime i type on my Android keyboard cus of it’s awesomeness :/

  8. Got out and get this people it’s the bees knees. Yuck!

  9. Stock gingerbread, and real ics keyboards are my favorites.

  10. The new keyboard in ICS actually holds its own pretty well. Having used both ICS default and Swiftkey X, I think Swiftkey is still the premium product, but the gap has shrunk. If you grab an ICS device, try using the default for awhile before considering a purchase. Might just be good enough to save yourself a couple bucks.

  11. ICS keyboard in the market is the best to me!

  12. trying out the one month free and loving it (granted I’m coming from the Froyo keyboard)

  13. There’s a tablet version!? I got it when it was the Free App of the Day. I’ve been using Thumb Keyboard for my tablet. Hmm… I’ll look into the Swift Key Tablet version.

I can’t choose between Swift Key and Thumb key on my Epic 4G Touch. Swift Key is good in Portrait, but Thumb Key for landscape. I lyk Swift Key’s gesture to erase things, but I lyk how Thumb Key has that layer of symbols on the top, and how it’s now impossible to text, “word .5” or something similar. Swift Key requires me to do something stupid before I can type “something -space- period-something”.
