Sega announced that they’d be bringing Sonic 4 to Android starting with Episode 1 this year and the day has finally come! They have released the game in the Android market, inviting users to download it for just $4. You’re getting 4 zones – each with 4 acts – and 7 bonus stages. You’re also getting two exclusive levels that are made specifically for smartphones and use the accelerometer/gyroscope sensors. It’s a quick 1.2MB download initially. Get to it here if you’ve been waiting on this one. [Android Market, thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

No Ice Cream Sandwich support so I can’t play it on my Rezound :-(
It’s fun, but but on screen touch controls don’t really lend themselves to a sonic game.
