The Samsung Galaxy Note is just over the horizon for AT&T. No official release date has been announced, but it’s safe to say the handset will be launching soon after a recent visit to the FCC. The handset gained approval for its GSM/EDGE 850/1900 support in addition to WCDMA bands II and IV. Aside from LTE connectivity, the Note is most known for its 5.3-inch 1280×800 display that blurs the line between tablet and smartphone. Inside waits a 1.4GHz dual-core CPU and 16GB of storage. The Note was one of the biggest announcements to come out of CES, but it is yet to be seen how the public will respond to a device of its size.

Hmm Xperia Ion or this… what else is on the immediate horizon with bigger then 4.3 screen?
everything but iphone
G-Nex is the only competition for the G-Note.
…GALAXY S3 is coming.
*1.5Ghz processor. The international note has the 1.4Ghz processor. Normally, this wouldn’t mean much and wouldn’t be worth correcting. However, the difference between the 1.4 and the 1.5 is due to the fact that one is exynos and one is most likely snapdragon (if it hasn’t been confirmed yet).
Still, cannot wait to get one of these. It’ll be interesting if they announce a Note II at MWC.
Don’t like AT&T, but may have to switch to it to get my hands on this gem.
I am looking forward to seeing this bad boy.. if you gonna go big, GO BIG! no need for a tab with this sucker lol
same… i want to go so big it will be my only device for traveling. i wish samsung would make a 5.3″ or 6.0″ with ICS, and without the s-pen.
If it had a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, it would be perfect…
the market disagrees.
Really? I didn’t have that impression with the dell streak when I played with one. In fact, looking at this (a size comparison between a 4, 5.3, 7 and 10.1 screen, I’d say the Note doesn’t threaten a 10.1 tablet at all.

Guess these guys don’t read their own comment section.
Very interested to see what this will be on contract.

Fixed that for you. With my Note. :)
I have the note, international version. If you are going to switch, be sure you have great att service. I had to buy a mini tower for my home and a garmin and my city won’t see lte for several years. I am glad I am not on contract and hope something like the note will come to big red. Has the note been worth all this? Absolutely. The note is fabulous.

In regards to your reception issues… I think the same can be said with about any Samsung phone… unfortunately their radios are not up to par with Moto and HTC. I’m having the same issues on SGS II (so is my friend).
I want a Note like yesterday but I’m gonna wait til MWC to see if Verizon is getting a Note variant. If that Galaxy Journal for big red rumor doesn’t become a reality ill switch to ATT for a Note.
I thought it went through FCC back in December?
Probably the international version so it was clear for importation.
…im going to wait for the GALAXY S3.
Yeah, and then wait the extra 8 months until it is brought to US carriers.
…PATIENCE is a virtue…and I’ve got PLENTY of IT.
Just import it
I would like HTC to make a phone with a 5.5 inch screen, 2.0 ghz, quad core, 1280 by 980, 720p HD screen, gorilla glass 2, 10 mp camera, 2.0 mp front camera, ICS 4.0, Sense 4.0, Beats audio, on Big Red’s 4G voLTE network… Anyone like my idea?

You’ll have your wish in about 2 years…
With their LTE going down lately, they should call it Volatile instead of voLTE.

That’s what she said!
Come to Sprint plz! If not let me buy this as a tablet and just use data services.
@ Patrick. 3300 battery.
If your planning on voting. ..hes fighting for your rights. ..he wants an android os government not an apple one

I’d get it if I could put it on a tablet data plan.
What kind of speeds does AT&T’s LTE get?
Dude you should know by now that when you ask a legitimate question here in the comments you will never get an answer…..all you get it is A) people giving there biased opinion of android B) people bashing apple and C) people criticizing others because their view isnt the same as yours.

According to reports, the Samsung has shipped 1M Galaxy Note units in under 2 months. I’m curious if the same demand can be done in the US & Canada once the Note is released.
