Motorola DROID Bionic Testers Receive Another Minor OTA Update

It looks like the DROID Bionic is queued up for another OTA update as build 5.9.902 is beginning to show up on testers’ devices. Amazon MP3 was added, VCast Music was removed and a few other changes (see below) can be found since 5.9.901. If any of you soak testers are getting these updates let us know how they’re faring for you. [via Droid Life]

  • Remove VCast Music preload
  • Add Amazon MP3 app preload
  • Motorola Terms and Conditions screen automatically enables data collection/location details
  • Google security patch to block access to change Home panel icons
  • After factory reset, location consent screen shown on activation screen
  • Change “Terms and Condition” screen title to “Motorola Terms of Service”

  2. My friends will randomly start tapping and opening apps like it is possessed when it’s just sitting on his desk.  Plus he has dead spots on the screen that come and go.  He is thinking of switching to a WinMo phone.

    1. He just needs to get it replaced under warranty. Shouldn’t be a big deal.

    2. This is usually due to a faulty usb cord. Is he using it when this happens?
