NFL Mobile for Verizon Updated for Android 4.0 Support; You May Still Experience Issues Launching It

11

Well isn’t this just peachy? We’re less than a week away from the 2011-2012 NFL playoffs and Verizon has finally updated their NFL Mobile application for those on Android 4.0 and, by extension, the Galaxy Nexus. There’s a wee bit of a problem, though.

Upon downloading some people are still met with that pesky message that the application is not compatible with their device. I, too, was met with this error message upon two tries. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and all was well, as evidenced by the screenshot you see above of it running on my Nexus.

We’re not sure what exactly is going on but you can try to force stop and clear its data/cache or reinstall the application to see if it’ll work for you. Hopefully Verizon provides a quick fix so that the error message won’t pop up those few times after downloading. Find it in the Android market and try for yourself. [Thanks Desmond!]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
