New Image Shows Camera Configuration for ASUS Eee Pad Memo

7

Earlier in the week we caught a glimpse of a 7-inch tablet set to be unveiled by ASUS at CES next week. The slate, potentially a reboot of the unreleased ASUS Eee Pad Memo, is said to sport a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and several configurations of internal storage. A newly leaked image shows it will also carry a rear camera, a feature which has become increasingly rare on smaller, budget-oriented tablets in recent months. NoteBook Italia speculates that the sensor may register at 5MP, the same spec from the initial Memo design shown off last year. Also shown in the image are a set of speakers and a couple physical buttons on the side of the device that may serve as volume or power/standby controls. All questions should be cleared up when ASUS makes this one official.

  1. I’m keeping an eye on this one for sure. If the hardware isn’t embarrassing and it’s 199$ I’ll probably be in line for one.

  2. I’d rather save for the brilliant galaxy tab 7.7 with it’s Samoled display

    1. I half agree. If this thing has more durable construction that Sammy’s tablets, has less UI customizations in line with the TF Prime, and uses universal connectors such as minihdmi or MHL then I’d be thrilled to kick Samsung to the curb.

  3. At what point did cameras become uncommon on 7 inch tablets? Unless you’re including the Kindle Fire, that would be the only notable exception. Original Galaxy Tab had one, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, HTC EVO View 4g, HTC Flyer (I know, same thing), Galaxy Tab 7.7 (I know, still technically a unicorn), the 7 inch Toshiba Thrive, Acer A100, etc….

Not really sure where you were going with that statement.

    1. you forgot the non camera having nook color and nook tablet.

  4. That would be really spectacular if the iPad 2 goes all the way down to  $299. I say that because that would cause many android tablets to drop down in price.

  5. the big deal is in the link above, my buddy’s ex-wife makes $76 an hour on the laptop.Follow the instructions at Online Income Solution and set up your account..
