Leaked Pics Reveal Huawei Working On Ice Cream Sandwich Update For MediaPad (T-Mobile Springboard)

3

It’s funny how even the prospect of Ice Cream Sandwich has the ability to triple a device’s desirability and that’s exactly the case with the Huawei MediaPad. The device was recently leaked from a Chinese website running an official build of Android 4.0.1, which doesn’t surprise us at all seeing the company officially released a beta version of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Honor a few weeks ago.

The Huawei MediaPad is only currently available in the US from T-Mobile who has their own branded version of the tablet called the Springboard. An AT&T model has also been rumored having passed through the FCC a few months back. Let’s hope Huawei can work out all the bugs and offer speedy updates to the US models as well. Any of our readers current Springboard owners? How has the tablet been treating you?

Thanks, Marco!

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Hauwei? SUCK!

  2. My mediapad has been working great. Really like it. My only qualm is the difficulty of installing into the SD card with the current honeycomb OS.

Looking forward to the new update.

  3. The thing with the SD card is so weird. I got a Springboard for Christmas and that issue is really ticking me off. Also I hate that there is no convenient and reliable way to get your text messages to your tablet.
