Just days after Google released the source code for Android 4.0, developers have already managed to compile some semblance of a working ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S II. This isn’t the first taste of Ice Cream Sandwich the GSII has received. A previous build was shoehorned onto the device courtesy of the SDK preview released just after the announced of Ice Cream Sandwich, but this latest build has far more potential as it is tailored for the handset from the ground up. Things are still more than a bit rough around the edges. It lacks support for many of the things that make a smartphone useful, such as Bluetooth, WiFi, and cellular radios. Take this as a preview, as newer, more complete builds will surely pour in over the coming days.
