If you were looking to pickup the thinnest Android powered smartphone on the planet, the wait is finally over. The Motorola DROID RAZR is now officially available from Verizon Wireless.

If you were still wary on shelling out your hard earned money on one, our full review of the device should be up by tomorrow morning and may help you make up your mind. As a refresher, the DROID RAZR is promised to receive Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future and features a 4.3-inch 960×540 Super AMOLED qHD display, 1.2GHZ TI OMAP4430 dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and last but not least — compatibility with Verizon’s blazing fast 4G LTE network.

If you don’t feel like waiting for our review, you can always join in on the conversation in our very own DROID RAZR forums where new and potential users are picking apart the device, feature-by-feature to see if it’s a worthy purchase. Anyone out there picking one up today?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Is the bootloader locked?

    1. HAHAHAHAHA…good one

    2. Does a wingless bird fly … edited WTF does that mean?. Its moto of course.

  2. Verizon just don’t know how to make commercials anymore…. I want to see the movie, oh its a Razr, is that the name of the film???

Less stints and maybe talk about the phone…

    1. Verizon doesn’t make commercials. They make short-films.

      1. And that’s my biggest gripe, as cool as they look, I want to know what it does, what makes it better than the other phones, why I should get one.

This does none of that; it does make me think, what the hell was that?

      2. Chris, as cute as you are…I am going to have to discontinue reading this site if y’all don’t fix the site. It’s a site about mobile phones, yet viewing it on mobile is painful. The advertisement is almost impossible to x out. The site is poorly laid out, and takes too long to load. The app would be ok, if it didn’t run notification services…with notifications disabled! http://m.androidcentral.com is beautiful. Still luv you…just not this site.

  3. Watch this from the point of view of the people being robbed… it may appear that the protagonist is the ‘wrong hands.’  Furthermore, why is this random Asian kid the secret agent’s source of intel?  Let’s also point out how people apparently died in the explosions during the process of this one guy getting the phone.  Verizon… plot points.  Who made this commercial?  Michael Bay?

  4. Holy sh$¥!! Moto (and everyone else) need to stop saying this phone is
7.1mm thin. It is 50% more than that…because a phone is only as thin
as its thickess measurement…and that dumb Droid X hump looks so stupid
and puts it way over 7.1!!! Why do these idiots keep saying 7.1?? Go
find a box that is only 7.1mm thick and watch it NOT fit in that box. My
    case proven!
