According to a source of AndroidSpin’s, the HTC Rezound has been rooted. That’s right, not even a full day following the announcement of the device and there’s confirmation that root has been achieved.
We’re not too sure who did it and how they did it (and the extent of the method and results) but it’s good to know that we already have a starting point days before the device is launched. We’re looking for the HTC Rezound starting November 14th as it’ll be available for $300.
For that pricetag you’re getting a hefty list of high-end specs including a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch 720p HD display, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera F2.2 lowlight camera with 1080p video recording, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and more. They also mentioned that the device would be Ice Cream Sandwich ready, meaning it will get the upgrade to Android 4.0 sometime down the line.
what sucks is the pricetag on this will be the same as the nexus, given the rezound has lil better specs. oh well, at least they haven’t tried to push the $299 envelope just yet
The headphones by themselves are anywhere from $120 and above. I believe thats probably why it hasn’t started at $199.

dude, no. where are you finding a 4g phone for 199 at launch on verizon? NOWHERE. it’s 299 because of 4g, not because of beats. nexus doesn’t have beats; razr doesn’t have beats. they’re both 299. that’s verizons standard launch 4g price.
Isn’t this kinda old news? I think p3droid was talking about the vigor being rooted a month ago IIRC.
Since the first quarter is almost here and I have the over the ear headphones, I’ll wait for the price to come down or see what’s exciting coming over the horizon. But I’m pressed to get that rezound, just not $299 pressed.

How good can a little mono speaker sound. As long as it is loud enough to hear on speakerphone. H t c has always had week sound
