Casio G’zOne Commando Gets Gingerbread

Listen up, all you Casio G’zone Commando users – Gingerbread’s waiting for you. Verizon’s delivered build C771M070 and alongside the upgrade to 2.3 you’re getting a lag fix, the ability to add signatures to SMS and MMS messages, the ability to brighten the display by touching it while docked and a fix for the errant proximity sensor. If that sounds good enough for you head over to About Phone under Settings, Hit System Updates and check to see if it’s there.

Call Features

  • +  Screen will brighten upon touch when phone is docked during a voice call.
  • +  Proximity Sensor accurately senses presence during a voice call.

    Email and Messaging

  • +  Auto signature can be enabled within SMS/MMS messages.
  • +  Device will no longer generate a draft message when opening a message.

    Additional Device Features

    + Privacy Caution screen will now appear during Setup Wizard. + V CAST Media Manager now comes preloaded.
    + Reduced device lag.

  3. my gf has this phone, she likes it… although i think its a rather slow device. the main purpose is the ruggedness though of course.
