This is going to sounds a little crazy but — one of the reasons I don’t fuss around with earbuds is simply because of how gosh-dang easy those things tangle up in my pockets. Seriously. It drives me crazy! I’ve never been one for puzzles and trying to untangle those things is is enough to make me convert primarily to using the speaker on my phone. Thankfully, I came across Sinch which just might get me using my headphones again.
As you can see, Sinch aims at keeping your life tangle free with this simple, “why-didn’t-I-think-of-that” accessory that attaches to your existing smartphone, MP3 player or whatever. Simply wind up your cord and Sinch snaps into place thanks to powerful magnets found on both ends. Its clever design is owed in part to frog who apparently had something to do with Imerj’s dual-screened Android powered smartphone we saw not too long ago. If you like what you see, you can grab your own Sinch in either black or white varieties from their site here for $15.99.

I don’t think I would pay $16 for a strap with a couple of magnets… ಠ_ಠ
What WOULD you pay $16 for, Alexander? o_O
Well, uh…. You know, something that’s more worthy of 16 Washington’s.
Some other kind of strap???
I just roll em up around my ipod…..same concept without the magnets n plastic
Great idea, but just a little overpriced imo.
Kinda agree with you there. My rap career has yet to take off so I can’t go spending my money all willy-nilly.
Is Willy Nilly your rap name? Yo yo yo… I be chilly with willy willy nilly…..
Word.
Here’s a great solution to your earbud problem…don’t use earbuds.
Over-ear headphones ftw!
I definitely agree. $16 is way too much. Make it like $5, and I think they’d sell a ton of them.
i can buy 2 cheap earth magnet and DIY it. haha.
Wait. Magnets? I’m no but isn’t it normally a bad idea to walk around with magnets right next to your computer (re: smartphone) all day long?
Only if it had magnetic storage, such as a hard drive, of some sort, which they dont. Keeping this next to your wallet with plastic cards, however, would be a definite no-no.
Like if you were to keep it………… in your pocket? Crap. o_O
The magnets probably aren’t strong enough to do any damage to anything anyways. It has to be a VERY strong magnet to damage a storage device. The magnetic disk is usually surrounded by so much other stuff that it’s extremely protected from that kind of damage. (Plus the fact that – like someone else said – I’m fairly sure the storage in these are all flash anyways, so it’s not magnetic storage.)
I’m not 100% sure about the strip on credit cards (and similar cards) but I think it takes a lot to damage them as well. These little weak magnets can’t hurt much of anything.
Magnetic fields affect electrical current, so you would be correct that this could cause problems, even if there is no magnetic storage. That’s first year electrical engineering kind of stuff.
Is it me or does sound like the “If you don’t have an iPhone” commerical?
May I suggest Bluetooth headphones? They’re awesome.
That device doesn’t look good at all. How often do you use headphones with your phone? The several hours a day you’re not using headphones, you’ll have silly cords blocking your screen.
dumbest thing i’ve seen yet. using iPhone headset i roll it in a little ball and it never gets tangled and stays tight. kudos to Apple.
I like the idea of this product and the only reason I haven’t already ordered a couple (gotta think of the Wife too) is…As quoted by Bob Barker from Happy Gillmore, “The price is wrong, bitch”
Let’s not forget that $15.99 is the price BEFORE shipping and tax! I’d be willing to go as high as $9.99 for 1 (shipped). Beyond that, I agree with the comment about just grabbing a few neo mags and making a DIY set on my own.
Take two pieces of Velcro, punch a hole in one side, save $15.
I wondered if the checkout was secure. When I checked, it wasn’t. Bad deal all around. I liked the velcro fix by Ringo_Fire.
