Newly updated in the Android Market is GO Friends from the guys that brought you GO Launcher EX, GO Contacts EX, GO SMS Pro, GO Weather and GO Mamma (not really that last one). The crazy GO devs are at it again this time with a social networking service aimed at letting you chat it up with other users nearby. You can make friends, new acquaintances (possibly even enemies?) all from people whole live in your area. The app was just updated today with English translation and the ability to login using your Twitter profile.
Main Features:
- Powerful location-based matching Algorithm
- Richful social information [sic]
- Real-time notification pushing
- Customized options
If you were hoping to jump on and meet cute chicks like in the screenshots above, you may be disappointed. All I found was a couple of dudes, one of which was greased up, wearing nothing but a blue speedo and lifting heavy weights (I kid you not). I’m sure as time goes on and the app gains a little more popularity, the girls will come flocking — or maybe not.
