Feeling a bit daunted after reading the instructions for rooting the Motorola DROID 3 posted earlier? As with any phone with a great community behind it (read: most of them) the community has come together to make things easier for everybody. Spawned from a consortium of four individuals at RoozWiki is a one-click method for rooting the DROID 3. All you’ll need to do is download drivers, the script, plug your phone up with USB debugging enabled and making sure it’s set to “Charge Only”. From there, just fire up that .bat file and follow the on-screen prompts. Full instructions and links can be had over at RootzWiki (we prefer to link there in case anything changes in the future). how do i set to charge only? whenever i plug it in my folders open…
when you plug the phone in, pull down the drop down bar and select manage

How to I set to USB debugging, will this work on DroidX2 and finally can it be underooted in case of warranty issues, I am new to Droid from Blackberry and will never go back I love this phone. Forgot to mention it is running Gingerbread 2.3.3
Ok got my answer for USB Debugging and Droid X2 and unrooting, all I have left is will it work on Gingerbread 2.3.3.
im using a droid 2 and it rooted and unrooted and from debugging settings –> applications –> development and then check box for usb debugging
It also works for other android phones just rooted my droid 2 with this method
