The gents at ESPN have uploaded their fantasy football app for the 2011 NFL season. This is great timing compared to last year which saw the app released only two days before the start of the season. More than the app has made its way to the Android market in a timely fashion, though, ESPN has gone ahead and dropped the $5 they were asking for last year.
That’s quite a decent step, I’d say. The usual suspects are in as far as features go, but hurry to the Android market to be sure you’re set to go before the NFL Kickoff on Thursday, September 8th for the defending Super Bowl Champions Green Bay Packers’ home opener against the New Orleans Saints. Full feature set is below. [Market via Androinica]
•Team Management: Start/bench players, add, drop, and claim players off waivers, propose, accept or reject trades with other managers
•FantasyCast Live Scoring and Stats: Real-time scoring and detailed information for all your matchups.
•Personalized Push Notifications for injuries, substitutions, and scoring updates.
•Fantasy News, Videos and Tweets from ESPN’s fantasy analysts.
•View and post messages to your league’s message board
AWESOME! ABOUT TIME! It was a little late but it has definitely improved over last years, more info! Way better!
need a yahoo FFB app
yahoo? this isn’t 1998 yahoo has the stupidest fantasy sports setup ever.
Doesn’t change the fact that the league i’m in was originated in yahoo
Check the market. Pretty sure there’s one in there…..
You sir, win one internet, thought i had checked a few weeks ago
Yeah, not sure when the ’11 version showed up in there but was pretty sure I had seen it previously. link below for anyone similarly playing on Yahoo! (and at least for the online version, I personally liked Yahoo’s interface better than ESPN, even if Yahoo’s actual sports and fantasy reporting “gurus” are worthless….) Just MHO though…

can you login to the app with your google account, thats how i log into the fantasy football stuff online.
How can it be called football when the primary way of moving the ball is with hands? :-) There us only one true football.
One true football = American football
Football is played across the globe
Handegg is played in America
Not the place for that chicken/egg argument
@Quentyn I know you are with me when I say “Go Pack Go!”
