[Update: Just the Tab 10.1 4G] Samsung Mobile USA: “We Think the Best Things Often Come in 4” – Hinting Toward US Galaxy S II?

25

The title says it all, folks. Samsung Mobile USA on Facebook posted a rather peculiar status update saying that they think the best things often come in four. Random post or vague foresight? We’re betting on the latter. My first though was to be skeptical – this could just be a “reminder” for the 4G-enabled Tab 10.1.

The problem with that theory is that the context doesn’t fit. The ellipsis at the end of the status suggests secrecy and teasing. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE has already been made official. It’s unusual for a company to post a “reminder” about something they’ve revealed and not be clear about what they’re talking about.

Instead, We’re hoping this is a hint that the Samsung Galaxy S II is nearly ready to drop and has been picked up by all four major carriers in the United States. While we don’t expect all four carriers to release theirs at the same time, we shouldn’t go any further than September without all of the big 4 carrying it. We’re just hoping Samsung’s ready to announce something soon. [Samsung Mobile USA FacebookThanks George!]

In directly related news, Verizon is expected to be the first carrier of the device and they’re said to get it near mid August.

[Update]: Looks like I should have stuck to my initial skepticism – another status message from Samsung has been posted. It was only the 4G LTE Tab 10.1. Garrr! I really wish they wouldn’t space incomplete messages so far apart. There’s still hope that there’s some double meaning in here… right? [Samsung Mobile USA Facebook]

  5. Is anyone else getting sick of all the vague information regarding both the Galaxy S II and the Droid Bionic?

Seriously. Give us some information so we can actually make informed decisions about expensive purchases.

I’m THIS close to saying eff it and moving back to a damn pager. Enough of the games.

    1. +1. It’s getting beyond frustrating.

  10. Did Samsung delete that post? I follow the source link and there are no posts. Is that the official Samsung facebook page?

    1. Sorry, linked to the account that posted the status and not the status itself. Link is fixed. Unfortunately, this was nothing more than a reminder that the Tab 10.1 4G has been announced.

  11. I want to galaxy s2 4-inch screen .. 4.3-inch screen is too big (I think). sammy come on, make sailing SGS2 4 inch

    1. maybe if you have little girl hands

      1. maybe he does or she is a girl

        1. then i wouldn’t be wrong

  12. This is not news. This is rumors being posting as news to generate page views that equal advertising revenue.

    1. It wasn’t posted as a rumor, it was posted as speculation. Completely different things.

      1. theres really not a big difference between the 2 neither are factual info

        1. The difference is subtle, but there’s a difference nonetheless. Rumors are based on evidence, while speculation simply questions if something could happen. Rumors tend to have a source (legit or otherwise), while speculation is simply someone trying to connect dots and coming up with a possible conclusion. Like I said, two totally different things.

  13. i don’t see why they can’t just give out a release date it’s out in every country except the US so why not just tell us when we are getting it

  14. The GSII is like that super hot chick you just started to date but plays way too many games before she gives it up. It’s getting to the point where I might just take care of my Samsung blue balls elsewhere…
