Acer unveiled its 7-inch Iconia Tab A100 earlier this year and back then, the low-cost Honeycomb tablet was going to see a summer release but found itself pushed back to the latter half of 2011. After a reply one Facebook user received from Acer Deutschland, we have now learned that the Acer A100 is back on for that original September launch — well, overseas anyway.
There’s been some speculation that because of the recent release of Android 3.2 and the fact that its compatible with 7-inch screens, this might have had something to do with the bump up but if the recent Wal-Mart leak is any indication, we may see this tablet here in the states soon enough. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come installed with Wal-Mart’s advertised Android 2.2 Froyo.
