Acer Iconia Tab A100 8GB Still Coming to Wal-Mart for $350, So is Vizio’s Tablet With Android 2.2 “Gingerbread”

First up, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 8GB edition is still coming to Walmart for a low $350, but as you know its progress has likely been stalled due to the advent of Android 3.2, a version of Android that adds native support for 7 inch devices. You could probably walk into your Walmart right now and find one on display, but don’t expect them to be able to sell anything to you. Secondly, the humor  – the 8 inch Vizio tablet Walmart’s selling somehow has Android 2.2 “Gingerbread”. Yea, we’re not sure how that one happened, either, but we sure are eager to find out. [Thanks Mark!]

How hard is it to create a description for a device? I mean you would have to know nothing about the device you are selling if you list 2.2 as being Gingerbread.

Another fail. Sit this thing next to a Laptop that sells for $350 and watch it gather dust on the shelves. Clueless tablet customers aren’t likely to even get that the thing comes with FROYO, which was never meant for Tablets.

I work at Wal-Mart in electronics and we have 8 of the acer tabs just chilling in our display case. I’m thinking of buying one. I’ll even take a picture and post it up later today if you would like? O.o

Hey Steven, are you sure you have the A100s in stock and you’re not referring to the A500s? Any chance you could take a picture of the A100s and email it to me at babyfacemagee@aol.com?

Lol, sorry about that, I put on my glasses and re-read the tag and we don’t have that one in yet either. That’s what I get for being stubborn and say I don’t need glasses :(.
