The Motorola DROID 3 is making its prelaunch rounds again, folks, as another hint of its imminent arrival has hit us. It’s a picture of the phone inside of a case made by Qmadix. That means a whole ton of other accessory makers should already be good to go for the arrival of the third rendition of the iconic DROID line. And with that, we just might see this thing soon. Very soon. Early July soon. Yea, that would make us some very happy campers. And for what it’s worth, that case doesn’t look half bad. [via Droid-Life]
I don’t get it, why launch similar Motorola devices one with outdated technology (i.e. 3G) and an LTE phone around the same time. (Assuming the Bionic ever gets here).
3G isn’t outdated technology. It’s current technology. LTE is emerging technology, just being deployed. Many users don’t see LTE as a selling point: unless you’re data heavy (streaming video) 3G is perfectly acceptable for most tasks. And it’s a different form factor (slider vs candybar).
I want the keyboard, and can live without LTE. D3 makes more sense for me than Bionic. I’m certainly not alone.
So that’s why: because there’s a market for it.
Bam on your face Zerk you punkass.
Oh damn, Zerk got bam’d
Any bets on how long before root achieved?
Looking forward to getting it to replace my very tired little D1, but not until root is available.
why release the droid 2 and droid x within a month of each other? Because the physical keyboard is a major selling point. Same as this.
Is Skype video possible on 3G?
