Spotify Could See a July Launch in the United States

6

Who says the US always gets the goods before our friends across the pond? We’re STILL waiting for Spotify here, but the wait might not extend long past summer as Spotify, speaking at a media event, mentioned they wouldn’t launch before July 5th. For their spokesperson to give a specific date most likely means they’re waiting on licensing agreements to go through, and once that day passes they may very well be free to launch any day after that.  I’m not saying Spotify will be here July 6th, but we’re certainly hoping it’s something along those lines. 1. Fyi… Google sent out another wave of Music Beta invites last night.  Downloaded mine yesterday.  Was pleased when I was immediately prompted to seamlessly transfer all my files from iTunes.

    1. Google music does not offer a subscription service…. Yet. I have been waiting for Spotify for years now. As soon as it is released I am dumping Napster.

        1. Yes if Google music gets this service then I would have to consider it a contender. I use it with my current library and it seems to be fine. I just wish that it had an EQ adjustment.

  2. Finally a music subscription for the US…OH WAIT! Rdio, Mog, Napster, etc. have been around for more than a year now in the US.

  3. we’re still waiting for 4G though and will be for years to come…
