– What kind of screen technology? PLS? IPS? TFT?
– Does it has MicroSD card slot (for both 10.1 and 8.9)?

LOL double fail. London is 5 hours ahead of NYC.

Was going from UTC time (which is 4 hours ahead) thought that was london time, though i still had it backwards
This is about the WiFi-only tab they gave out at Google IO:
I’m not sure about the type of screen. The initial design was a TFT LCD screen, but they redesigned it quite a bit. It is now much lighter and thinner than the original design (lighter and thinner than iPad 2, i think). But i’m not sure if the screen-type has been re-designed.
It has only two ‘openings’. One is a regular headphone jack, the other is a proprietary port used for charging, USB and HDMI out. The tabs that we got at Google IO only had a charging/usb cable in the box. Some samsung rep told me that a HDMI adapter cable will be sold when the tab becomes generally available.
This also means you can’t replace the battery or insert an SD-card. I guess there will be some slot for tabs with 3G or 4G, to insert the SIM-card.
What about the SGS2?

I like that back panel better than the Google I/O one. No USB on this device. I don’t have it with me right now, so I’m not sure on the SD slot or display question. I can say the screen looks really nice. :-)
Eventbrite sells their e-mail address list to spammers. If you’re going to sign up, i recommend using a disposable email address.
So did I miss something or has Phandroid still never announced who will be getting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 when they’re done testing it?

They just sent out an email saying who the winner is.
The gathering in Baltimore last fall was great. I wish I could pull this one off but too much going on right now. I hope someone who attended the phandroid meet up wins a Tab.
We need to buck up!! Android central is killing us on attendees (it shows everyone who signed up and who referred them)
People have posted on several thread asking about the Google I/O giveaway, but it has been a week since the promised announcement and there has been absolute silence from Phandroid. Was it all just a big trick to get people to sign up to the mailing list? WTF Phandroid?
Last response was that the announcement was pushed back to the beginning of this week(i know yesterday was monday)

Sooooo is this the same samsung event that got delayed two days ago, or is this completely different?
Why does Phandroid keep posting images of the 10.1v when discussing the 10.1? You’re using old images, and it’s hurting your credibility.
