HTC’s Droid Incredible 2 Has Now Landed!

13

Guess what, Phandroids? The HTC Incredible 2 is now officially available for purchase! You can get your very own Incredible 2 right now through Verizon Wireless for $199.99 (Please Note: some users are not yet seeing the offer live – patience and rapidly pressing refresh until it appears is recommended!)

The always lovely Quentyn Kennemer filmed an unboxing video for the Incredible 2 earlier today, so if you want to see what you’re getting yourself into, or if you like to watch strangers undress smartphones (I wont judge), don’t forget to hit up his post.

As the sequel to last years Droid Incredible, the Incredible 2 weighs in with a slightly larger 4-inch screen, 1GHz second generation Snapdragon processor, 1GB on storage for all your apps, 768MB of RAM for multitasking and the now standard 8MP camera with LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera. HTC was also gracious enough to provide a 16GB micro SD card and although the phone will ship with Android 2.2, HTC’s newest version of Sense 2.1 will definitely help make up for that.

You can expect a full review from Quentyn in the coming days after he puts the phone through its paces. In the meantime, chat it up with fellow Android-o-holics in our Incredible 2 Forums where you can discuss everything from general value of the phone, to any other questions or concerns you have about the handset.

Verizon has been quite the bang up job with their their Android lineup this year and doesn’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. But will this phone earn your hard earned money or will you opt for the Thunderbolt? Or just maybe you’ll continue to hold out for one of Motorola’s multi-core rainbow unicorns?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

    2. yeah because a droid incredible 2 with a larger screen is an “oversize” droid incredible. What are you fucking 10? Yeah wait for some sensation or feeling in your brain before you ever post again, Ching HUang dong.

  2. ahhhhhh . (various mixed emotions)

  3. Lol. SO obvious Verizon is sponsoring you guys. At least 7 verizon articles in one day, they send you unboxing phones, their LTE ads are EVERYWHERE on this site. It’s fuckin annoying. And the cool/important news is crammed into the “things we missed, you shouldnt”. Bahahahahah, good day

    1. Yeah… one carrier launching 3 Android Phones in one day isn’t news worthy at all. Why would an Android site pay ANY attention to a bunch of Android phones launching? More stories about rumored firmware updates for the Motorola Milestone in Madagascar!

      1. Newest banner on phandroid homepage:
“DROID Incredible 2 Now Available for $199.99 at Verizon!

        I rest my case

        1. sponsoring… Well Thank You Mr. Obvious…. Or maybe you dont visit phandroid enough to see the VZW adds for the TB, Charge, etc that popup on the homepage every 3rd time its loaded. Jesus who even cares.

And if they do send them phones to reveiw ahead of time… GOOD! I want to read a blog that gets shit to review, not someone who is borrowing his downstairs neighbor’s INC2. Seriously get over it or GTFO. ugh

      2. Btw, Im not grilling you guys for doing it, I was just making the observation. But it is irksome that some important stuff that should have their dedicated article get stuffed up into a laundry list…

        1. DaDoucher… you’re a complete tool bag. Go back to masturbating to young boys at UCLA.

    2. Android phones. Srs business.
Get over it. A site that is sponsered? Who would have thought.
What’s that? You need money to have a website? :o
What’s that? You mean you can make money from this which is something that has become a problem for many lately? INSANE!
