SoundHound is Today’s Free Paid App of the Day on Amazon

27

Many of you expressed discontent for Shazam when the full version of their app was free in the Amazon Appstore and made a plea for SoundHound instead. Luckily for you guys, SoundHound has followed suit and their application is today’s free app of the day. It’s normally $5 for the paid version (which affords you unlimited song tags). It’s one of the best deals so far and we’d be remissed if we didn’t spread the word. Go ahead and grab it on your Android device now.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Tbh that is just BS. I’ll give Amazon a pass on this for now but Google is not 2 guys in a bedroom it is a multi billion dollar company and there is no excuse for taking years to get into countries. If we were talking about movies or music then they would have to negotiate with other companies and that would be an explanation but in this case they have people who want to sell stuff and people who want to buy stuff and they can not be bothered to support it.

  13. You left Amazon because they gave you a free program… BTW the newer version 2.5.2 (Amazon is providing 2.5.0a) fixes a battery drain issue on the Droid X (particularly those users who used the widget). no other changes were made. So unless you’re on a Droid X and use the widget there’s no need to upgrade. (And I’m sure you’ll respond that you do have a Droid X and you for some reason must use the widget)

  20. Doesn’t the free version also allow you unlimited tags? I thought the paid version was just ad-free with some other enhancements here and there.
