HTC Inspire 4G Guide, Demo, Tutorials Uncovered

23

Are you twiddling your thumbs, waiting  for the HTC Inspire 4G to officially drop so you can pick it up? Members on our Inspire 4G Forums aren’t settling for thumb-twiddling… they’re scavenging around the web picking apart any piece of Inspire 4G goodness they can find. And check out the gem they found courtesy of Radio Shack:

Yup, that’s a full flash-enabled demonstration guide for the HTC Inspire 4G that allows you to explore every little detail about the device. It’s packed to the brim with hardware and software overviews, setup instructions, and how-to tutorials. We’re guessing this was created by 3rd party and meant for Radio Shack to embed on their website, but we got our hands on it first. Unfortunately audio seems to be MIA but it’s better than nothing.

We know you’d rather be going through this guide with your Inspire 4G in hand, but until then do the next best thing: watch it, drool, learn, and share your excitement and frustration over on the Inspire 4G Forum!

  7. uh wow.. i hope HTC would make HTC panda… then we could communicate with panda… i like panda…

  8. WHY NO FRONT FACING CAMERA!?!?!

  9. Still using the snapdragon processor?
    No front facing cam?

    Fail!!

  10. @compadre: I think you can go to settings and turn Sense off. I know that you can definitely do it on an evo… as for NO Front Facing Camera-FAIL. The processor is a second gen snap dragon, more efficient and way faster at video processing than the first. AT&T – FAIL.

    HTC THUNDERBOLT!!!!!

  11. ^You guys can use a moto atrix

  12. If the rumors about HTC investigating opening its own stores similar to Apple stores comes true you may get stock.

  13. Thats too bad, i was hoping for a suped-up evo/desireHD. some dual core action, android 2.3, front facing camera… oh well maybe next time. HTC is a good company but this phone is on last year’s technology.

  14. No kickstand or front facing camera? No thanks!!

  15. If you look at all the specs of this phone you will see it has 768mb of Ram which no other phone has this much except when the atrix is released which has 1gig. And right out of box this phone which is rebranded htc desire hd gets highest neocore, linpack, and quadrant scores. For example this phone makes the galaxy s phones look extinct. Try watching some youtube videos htc desire hd vs any phone, because the inspire is this phone.

  16. @Marco

i totally agree man… most HTC phones looks similar (even their WM7 devices!!) and their Sense UI is boring and not very interesting.. i rather have touchwiz (i’m just saying) or AOSP!!!

  17. Okay first off, this utilizes the new 45nm Snapdragon processors so even despite the smallish battery, battery life should be better than the Evo (most DHD users are raving)
Second, the design is completely different, have any of you guys even seen the phone? It utilizes a unibody aluminum design.
Third, Sense is the best manufacturer UI out there imo (better than disgusting iPhone-wannabe TouchWiz). It is clean (straight up eye candy) and has so many great features. This is the new version of Sense too, check out this video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHO9A9Zf5g8
Fourth, not everybody wants a kickstand/FFC. Kind of a gimmick in my book. I don’t think I’d ever use either and I doubt that I am the only one.
Fifth, THIS IS NOTHING LIKE AN EVO. IT BLOWS THE EVO AWAY (as it should, it is almost a year newer). Newer Snapdragon chip (better graphics, lower power, better battery life), more beautiful design, 768MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage plus an 8GB included MicroSD.

So many of these comments by people who have no idea wtf they are talking about. Don’t even know why I waste my time responding. Consider yourselves served.

  18. Um how bout a fucking date so i can upgrade my crappy phone AT&t no one don’t need NO GUIDE and you still FAIL TO SHOW THE HTC SENSE UI. I WANT ANDROID!

  19. release date – Feb. 13th, atleast thats what everyone is saying

  20. how do you increase the number of rings on a HTC phone. My one, out of the box .is set for only 3 rings

  21. Just bought a new HTC Inspire. I like what i see and the ALuminum body is both elegant and I think a boon for drops etc. I am only upset that no local store fronts have skins and protective covers for the phone. I also had setup issues with the SIM chip sent but got it taken care of via AT&T Chat and 8xx support. My wife loves it! and It won out over Apple 4G. Network response is very good.

  22. I had an iPhone and recently switched to the HTC Inspire. I don’t feel it is as nice as the iphone. I can’t move my movies from my iPhone to it and get them to play and there is not an app out yet that you can purchase and download movies onto your phone. Only apps are blockbuster and redbook. I am a little disappointed and wish I had kept my iphone.

  23. just bought inspire…tore my hair out between this and atrix…but inspire was only $50 vs $200 and I like the bigger brighter screen and htc as a manufacturer…just wish inspire had hdmi

anybody else out there have a comarative opinion???
