If you are in charge of a large wireless network, being able to monitor who is accessing it and track signal strength over its coverage is a real help when pinpointing problems, and Ekahau is the company to do it. Their new network survey app gives you the power to troubleshoot a wireless network right form your Android=powered handset or tablet. The app even provides you with a graphical map of your network’s infrastructure. Just don’t think this is for your everyday IT enthusiast or for diagnosing your home network. Unless, of course, the price tag of $299.00 is chump change to you.
The app can be purchased from the Ekahau website, but we don’t see too many individuals dropping that sort of cash. This is more the stuff of large companies or IT consultants. Still, apps tailored for the professional world are just one more sign of the maturity the Android Market is reaching.

The mapping function requires the $2300 desktop application. These guys make pretty good software though.
I think these kind of apps are really great for engineers as well as for the students they can use these tools to manage a wirless network and make them work in a better way. Great App ! Great Info ! Thumbs up !
