HTC’s released a pair of minor (and uninspiring) maintenance upgrades for their Legend and Wildfire. There’s no changelog to be had, but we’re hearing that the downloads aren’t really that big, and nothing noticeable has changed. Many are wondering if they are precursors for a forthcoming Froyo update, but there’s really no way to tell. We can only go based on the realization that they both received upgrades almost at the exact same time. Settings > About Phone > System Software Updates to check and see if yours is ready to download. [SweDroid via Androinica]
Yes, they are updates for Froyo. This is part 1, part 2 will come in the next few days:-)

The word has reached me that some Legend owners are receiving the preparation update as we speak. This update is needed in order to be able to receive update #2
Update #2 refers to Froyo, I presume.
So.. The Desire, Legend and Wildfire have now all had a maintaince update in the past week?
HTC must be prepping for a nice christmas gift.
HTC Germany confirmed the froyo update for unbranded legends across Europe for tomorrow via their Facebook page.
I don’t have the update yet but my Android market just updated it self to the 2.2 market, and am still on 2.1 :S
Still no love for Aria? sheesshh
My wildfire was already running this software after debranding!
Strange, I have the Wildfire but no new update…
