Coolpad’s N930 Looks Like a Worthy Android-based Contender

5

We often joke about and scrutinize phones from the Chinese gadget world as devices are often ridiculously bad or blatant ripoffs of other successful handsets. It’s especially a problem in the phone and tablet world, but a lot of quality still comes out of China (Meizu shows us that.) Coolpad’s N930 is one of those phones that will sneak up on us and provide a refreshing Android experience. It’s a 3.5-inch (admittedly) iPhone wannabe with a WVGA touchscreen and a 1GHz processor (no word on which).

From the pictures that we’ve seen of it, it looks like it’s going to be stylish, sleek, and will have a slick user interface to match. It’ll debut with Android 2.1 – which isn’t too bad – but Android 2.2 does look to be in the Coolpad N930’s future. We probably won’t see more on this until next month, but keep this one on your radar for now.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  5. This looks like a decent phone. Another good one to come out of China is the “ming” which I figure will be a good droid based phone.

This looks really easy, it combines the look of an iphone, with the open source of android. why would you not like this phone(unless it drops calls like the iphone 4).
