Sony Ericsson’s UK Twitter account today tweeted that Android 2.1 for their Xperia X10 phones – the X10 itself, the Mini, and the keyboard-sporting Mini Pro – should all be seeing Android 2.1 right before September comes to a close. As their UK account tipped everyone off to that piece of news, we can’t confirm any other regions will be able to enjoy the same just yet (including its new home on AT&T here in the states), but we can’t see why they’d elect to leave anyone out if they didn’t absolutely have to.

The sony x10 is nicer than 95% of android phones, in my opinon, and its a year old. trololol
The operating system is a year old, but the phone actually first launched only five months ago.
Oh did i say launch date? Hmmmmm NOPE!
@ keller: Way to be a douche.. I think it was a fair assumption that’s what you were referring to. I don’t call my computer 9 years old just because windows xp is 9 years old..
Anyway, no multitouch = still a fail. Why, oh why is your hardware non-multitouch Sony?! It’s a good looking phone as well..
Would have been great if it had launched a few months earlier WITH multi-touch and the updated firmware. Now there are quite simply similar form factor yet better phones.
^way to be a pokemon
What bout the U.S.? The only reason I didn’t upgrade to the X10 now cause it only have 1.6v I’m still waiting word on when the U.S. version gets upgraded so I can finally have my hand on a ANDROID set.
Wow, this is almost as good of news as my recent upgrade from cassette tapes to these new fangled compact discs.
.
Isn’t it great to be at the peak of technology?
Hilarious Cpt Mike!!!!
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Nice job Sony E at staying behind the curve….WAY BEHIND!
Will this add multitouch?
LoL, jajaja, Sony erickson, this is like saying your black and white Tv is finaly color, while all the other companys are putting out HD TVs, dont they feel embarrase, go straight to 2.2 wich is what the world wants right now, anything less is for caveman
