Samsung’s released a minor update for the Samsung Galaxy S in South Korea. It’s said that the update will improve Bluetooth A2DP playback, call quality, and more enhancements and fixes.
Also being reported this morning is that Samsung expects to sell over 10 million Galaxy S handsets worldwide. In Korea, they’ve already surpassed 300,000 units with the overall total being just over 1 million. Given the right marketing campaign and strategy, I see no reason Samsung couldn’t reach this goal. Once the phone is offered by nearly every carrier at a subsidized rate (including all four major US carriers who have yet to launch their devices), we could see that number skyrocket and see Samsung well on their way to meeting that goal.
Even at 1 million sold, I think everyone can suppress their worries about purchasing from Samsung and not receiving support: you simply can’t ignore a phone with the userbase that Samsung’s expecting to build up.
