Samsung recently announced their brand new Galaxy Book4 Edge laptop. This is a laptop powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chipset. It seems that Samsung isn’t alone in launching such a device. Microsoft has unveiled a brand new Surface Pro hybrid computer that is also powered by the same chipset.

The 11th gen Surface Pro is part of a lineup of PCs Microsoft is calling its Copilot Plus PCs. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset can be found. For those unfamiliar, the Snapdragon X Elite is basically Qualcomm’s answer to the Apple Silicon. Microsoft claims that their new hybrid PC is 90% faster than previous models, and it supports 5G.

One of the benefits of using Arm-based chipsets is battery life, and it shows. According to Microsoft, they claim the new Surface Pro will get up to 14 hours of video playback, which is pretty impressive. It also comes with an optional upgrade to an OLED display and supports WiFi 7 connectivity. Other specs include 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Lastly, Microsoft has unveiled a new keyboard attachment called the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard. This accessory is priced at $450 and includes the Slim Pen. The tablet/laptop hybrid itself is priced starting at $999 but fully speccing it out will set you back a cool $2,100.
