Google Play Music 5.6 DSC06067

According to a few diggers at XDA Developers, Google Play Music may soon get a handy new feature. The users found references to a new feature that will allow you to control your music with your voice. You will be able to do things like play, pause, and skip from across the room.

If this sound familiar, you’re not having deja vu. This functionality has been in Google Now for a while, but now it will work straight from the Play Music app. People that don’t use Google Now will still be able to take advantage of it. We can’t imagine that many Play Music users don’t use Google Now, but it’s certainly nice to have tools that work for everyone.

Do you ever use voice controls to control Google Play Music?
