Sony got off to slow start with Marshmallow updates, but they are making up for it in recent weeks. First, the Xperia Z5, Z4, and Z3+ were updated. Now, Sony is bringing the more versions of the Z2, Z3, Z3 Dual, and Z3 Compact up to date. The versions included in this update include D6502, D6646, D6653, D6633 and D5833.

There are many, many Xperia Z devices out in the world. For the most part, Sony has done a good job at bringing them all up to speed. It’s important that they keep the older models up to date as they move to the Xperia X line. One of the last devices that still needs Marshmallow is the Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet.

If you’re not familiar with Android Marshmallow yet, the update brings Doze Mode, granular app permissions, Google Now on Tap, and a whole host of features and improvements. Check your device now to see if the update is waiting for you.
