‘Fossil Q’ will likely be the name of Fossil’s upcoming Android Wear smartwatch

Fossil Q trademark USPTO filing

When Fossil briefly showed off their new smartwatch live on-stage during IDF15 last week, they didn’t reveal much. Other than announcing it would be powered an Intel processor, they didn’t even bother giving the smartwatch an actual name. At least not one they were willing to divulge. One of 3 new wearables Fossil is working on, we may now know what they plan on calling this smartwatch — or possibly even their entire connected line: Fossil Q.

That’s the trademark filing we came across which describes not only a health and fitness monitoring device, but a “smart watch” as well. Filed back in June of this year, it’s safe to say the mystery is over. If you’re thinking about giving Fossil’s first foray into Android Wear watches a shot — which will arrive in time for the holiday season — keep the “Fossil Q” on your radar.
