After a mysterious Sony phablet (E68XX) equipped with 4K display was spotted in a UAProf the other day, we could now be getting our first look at it. A purported internal side out of Sony has been making the rounds, showing the S70+, the codename for what XperiaBlog believes is the Sony Xperia Z5 Plus.

Surprise, surprise, the phone looks much the same as other Xperia devices with Sony sticking to their usual “OmniBalance” design. They did show a new silver color  along with black and gold options, so at least they’re trying something new there.

The big question is whether this Xperia Z5 Plus will debut along side the Sony Xperia Z5 and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact when they’re officially unveiled during Sony’s IFA event next month. There’s certainly a market for larger Android devices and after the Galaxy Note 5 arguably dropped the ball, this could be the opening Sony so desperately needs.
