It’s been a long time coming, Nexus 9 owners. Starting today, you should be seeing an update to Android 5.1.1 hitting your tablets. Because you may not feel like waiting around for the update to roll out in stages — and quite frankly, it’s been long enough — you have a few other options at your disposal.

Those looking to do things the manual way, the official factory images (build LMY47X) have been posted on Google’s developer page where they’re available for the flashing. What’s more is someone was even able to capture the OTA link directly from Google’s servers if you’re proficient in ADB. Just make sure you’re coming from LRX22L before you update. Cheers!

  4. It should be noted that while the article itself doesn’t mention it, the title does. It’s still a long time coming for Nexus 9 LTE – stuck at 5.0.2 – which, thankfully, I didn’t get. This purchase was one of my worst decisions in a long time. I wish I could get my money back, lol because I know you can’t sell one.
