Quick heads-up to Verizon faithful who have their eye on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge — the company has announced that pre-sales will begin April 1st! Samsung didn’t make it a secret that the device would launch April 10th so Verizon figured they might as well announce their pre-sale event well ahead of schedule, too.
We still don’t know how much you’ll have to pay for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, though recent contest rules have revealed a $700 retail price for the former. Note that those contest rules didn’t specify which storage model the price tag applied to, but we’ll have to assume it’s the base 32GB model for now.
Those are all the details Big Red had to share with us today, but we’ll certainly be digging for more in the days to come. For now, start making plans to siphon off a good portion of your income to pay for one of these once they’re finally available.

This “might” be me – all depends on the Edge 64gb price (since no SD card I cannot do a 32gb and add my own card sadly). But I plan to buy outright off contract, so need to see who is selling what that is VZW capable. Does Costco just sell the phones or phones + plans. I think Best Buy will do just the phones. Of course VZW will just do phones.
Just kidding!
Pre-sales began in Germany 1 day after the presentation already. E.g. for the Galaxy S6 Edge (32 GB) you pay in the PRO plan onetime 99€ and 50€/month. The normal S6 is for free in this plan.
Hope Verizon doesn’t crap their graffiti on the back of the phone and ruin the clean look. Lets hope it’s a sticker or rubs off easily.
