Ever since a few unlucky users have been reporting instances of bent iPhone 6 Pluses, sit tests are the all the rage these days. Now, just about every smartphone maker wants to take the opportunity to show you — the consumer — how their products wont meet the same fate as Apple’s, even if you sit on it.
Earlier today we saw Samsung’s strangely arousing butt test (there’s no other way to put it, it was an actual robot butt) and now newcomer OnePlus is here to show us all the work that went into testing their flagship OnePlus One smartphone. It’s all pretty much what you would expect to see in a quality control facility, with drop tests, water tests, tumble tests, and yes, even a sit test, all making the cut.
While everyone seems to have their opinions on the way OnePlus handles their PR, we have to admit, the actual phone hardware itself is pretty damn solid (except for that one that exploded). And here I am with a 2 year old Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that looks absolutely pristine. The only tiny scratch is on the home key, and I still can’t figure out where that came from. I even still have my original screen protector, which has never been replaced and doesn’t have any edge peeling or anything. It’s too bad I don’t tend to sell my old devices, or wait until it’s too late to make some money from them… they are all in great condition (can’t say the same for the cords, which my cats love to gnaw on).

And I’m glad I’m not the only one… Had to replace my wife N4 screen twice. I made her use a lumia 520 as her loaner phone the last time for 2 weeks. She appreciates her phone much more now and takes better care.
