The Motorola DROID Bionic has had an update in the works for a bit of time now and it looks like testing is all wrapped up. The changelog states that V-Cast Apps and Amazon MP3 are both preloaded. We’ve also got improvements for data connectivity and stability, WiFi mobile hotspot fixes, improvements in overall device stability and a lot more. The full changelog found in this PDF file should give you a great idea of what to expect. As always, we could be seeing this anytime between now and 2-3 weeks from now, but recent updates have come within 2-3 days after Verizon publishes the changelog. Be on the lookout for it and let us know whenever it gets sent to your handset. [via Droid-Life]
ICS or GTFO!
Bye bye, Moto…last device I’ll let you fool me with.
Yay more bloatware!
seriously…this phone is shit. because of my positive experience with the orginal droid, i thought this phone would be a no-brainer. it’s locked up, bloated, buggy and gets no developer support. i’m seriously considering paying full price for a galaxy nexus so i can be rid of this pos.
That’s why after 4 replacement Bionics I made Verizon send me a Nexus for free. They said it could be a refurb but it was new. They stripped it of the charger and battery though but since I was planning on getting an extended battery it worked out.
If you think the Bionic is bloated, I would hate to see your reaction to the Razr.. Sooo glad I went with the Nexus..
I assume they are similar in bloat…but .902 is adding two more programs I don’t want to the pile. There are some brand new ~$400 Galaxy Nexus phones selling on Craig’s list. It’s probably time.
I wonder if this is upgradable from 5.9.901? It took me a lot to get to that point and rooted since I was off of the OTA path with a previous update. Hopefully I am still on the “ota path” with 5.9.901
Already pushing to phones.
bionic is a KILLER phone you ppl ARE ALL morons!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will affect root?
Does it affect root like the last update?
