Hope you all had a great weekend! Now, it’s back to the hustle and grind of the work week and with that comes the Android Overload. We tend to get a whole lot of stories from over the weekend and not all of them make the cut. For those that don’t. We place them here. Think of it as a second chance for stories on the internet before they drift away into obscurity. So have a look around and if you see something you like, leave your thoughts. We’d love to hear ’em.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Why is the EU worried about the merger at all? Anti-competitive? Why don’t they investigate Apple? Talk about anti-competitive. I guess stupidity among EU lawmakers is on par with their counterparts in the US. The Euro is on the brink of complete collapse and this is what they’re worried about? Forgive my coarse language, but this is fucking idiotic.

    1. It’s got nothing to do with being “worried”, they’re merely requesting more information which is common practice. So those badly chosen words”fucking idiotic” apply more to you then to the EU.

  2. Is this article in response to the person who commented that you guys at phandroid dont report shit on the weekends………..kinda seems like it!

    1. eL oh eL!! I thought they did this every Friday night? But wait!! This wasn’t posted on Friday night!! o.O

      Well…

  3. That Galaxy Tab is just….wow….

    1. Yeah Apple is retarded, they they use other technology but now they are just exploiting the patent laws. They are pretty much acting like a fat kid with cake and crying because other people are eating cake too.

      1. not to mention using technology other company’s already did and claim they did it first. I almost couldn’t keep myself from laughing when i was reading on mac os x leopard’s list of features when it wasnt quite released yet and on the list of features it said it was goign to be the worlds first 64 bit os which obviously wasnt true as i was using a 64 bit version of ubuntu to view the webpage. lol i regret every buying an apple device with thier patent abusing lately

  4. And again broken links :( everytime!!  Where is the article about Majel ? or the one about Bell ? Come on……

Having to Google for these article kinda defeats the purpose of the article doesn’t it?

    1. This is what happens when you link to an article without putting in http://

  5. Ice Cream Sandwich, this is a great time to buy a new phone for you or for someone else. There are excellent phones flooding the market—the operating system of the newest android phone, the Galaxy Nexus.

  6. Majel? like Majel Roddenberry? The voice of the computer on Star Trek? Did I just out myself as a huge geek? your link on that article is wrong, by the way.

  7. Android doesn’t need a Siri clone. It just needs to open voice actions to apis so “post to google plus trying out the new voice actions” can do exactly that.

  8. Relative URLs strike again. Just get rid of the phandroid part on the broken links.
