4G LTE Samsung Celox Spotted in the Wild Sans Hardware Button

5

When the Samsung Celox surfaced last week as a rumored 4G LTE variant of the Galaxy S II for Korea, we couldn’t help but get visions of the handset on Verizon. The main issue keeping us second guess a US release of the phone with a rumored 4.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor was the presence of the single hardware button found on international versions of Galaxy S devices. That hardware button was absent from the Galaxy lineup released  in the US last year, and early leaks indicate the same will be true for Galaxy S II devices. So, could we still expect a Verizon release of the device codenamed Celox? New in-the-wild images of the handset are suggesting it remains a possibility.

The Celox has been captured in a set of pictures and clearly lacks the hardware buttons first seen in the leak from last week. While the carrier branding doesn’t give us any firm indication of a release outside of Korea, the one little hardware details leaves the door open. We’ll know soon enough.

  3. If you’re not going to buy it, why does it matter when it releases? I’m fine with waiting. I’ve been waiting for the bionic since like march. A few more months won’t kill me at this point.

  5. Glad they removed the ALL CAPS pointless rant. Seriously though I have been waiting for the newest Samsung super device (what ever letter that falls under with their new naming scheme) for a while now myself. I have been sitting on a VZW upgrade since May and have another due in December. So here’s hoping to a dope device to last me till quad cores or the next generation of phones. At that point my wife will get this years super phone and I will once again re up.
