If you’re looking to get an Android smartphone from Verizon this week you may be entitled to $25 worth of apps from Amazon’s app store. It’s yet another promotion the retail giant is boasting to promote their new Android appstore which has taken the Android world by storm as of late. (Mainly by offering free paid apps each and every day.)
While most folks have their reservations about buying from anywhere but the Android market, Amazon has given us no reason to believe that buying apps from them is anything other than a pleasant experience. (And with $25 worth of free apps, you should have no complaints buying a few apps.)
The promotion ends at the end of the week. Amazon says they will continue to offer promotions like this in the future so don’t be too bummed if you can’t get in on it this go around. [via ATD]
Ok, where’s Richard with his “witty” comments and pointless video posting? This is a Verizon article, he’s bound to put something.
I’d say it’s a pretty sweet deal. I’m not too keen on the Amazon app store other than for the daily free app, but it’s still nice to see a company actively trying to pull in customers with deals such as this. $25 can go a long way if you spend it wisely. I just wish you could get gift cards for the Android Market…
Amazon is playing all their cards right. Its no surprise really that they’re good at selling apps considering they’re good at selling just about everything else in the world.
Even though android market is more established I find myself frequenting amazon much more than i would’ve figured. While it doesn’t have the massive selection of the android market it doesn’t retain the mass garbage either. Fully agreed with the previous comments. Mostly with the playing the cards right. Amazon has muscled in pretty hard and fast and, while there are other more shady sites, amazon is really the only contender in my opinion as far as profits go to google. Yeah…..i don’t think the android marketplace has ever given away anything…..boom heaDshot!!!
What are the requirements to get the 25$?
