Sony Opens Up Google TV Developer Registration Ahead of Today’s Unveiling

by Quentyn Kennemer on October 12th, 2010 at 10:20 am

We’re just hours away from Sony’s big Google TV unveiling where we expect they’ll announce four initial models with the platform embedded (ranging from 24 to 46-inch models.) Sony’s getting a little head start with developer sign-ups, however, as we’ve just learned that they’re accepting registrations for the developer portal now. There’s nothing to actually be had there at the time of this posting, but we suspect that’ll change before the day is over. If you’re a developer, go ahead and sign up now.

Funny how they’ve struck a deal with GOOG to make these TV’s but their phones suck balls.

Actually from a hardware standpoint their phones aren’t bad. The fact that they ship them with Android 1.6… well… that’s bad.

Developer registration…. does mean I have to register to develop an app for everything? LG? Samsung? Refridgerators? Car applications?

i’m holding off getting a new refrigerator until they start coming with a built in touch screen, wifi and 80,000 apps.
can’t wait for the android refrigerators to come out.
