Google’s just announced on Google+ that accessories for the Galaxy Nexus are now available for purchase on the Google Play Store. The official desktop dock, HD media dock, and a vehicle dock (yep, the one with the three-pin dock connector) are all available for purchase. Be warned that these accessories are only approved for use with the HSPA+ version of the device, such as the one Google is selling in the Play Store. Those on Verizon and Sprint aren’t officially supported, but you can take the chance if you want anyway. Get started here. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
I don’t recall anyone saying that.
It would help if you let us know if they fit the cdma version
it says on the store site – no :(
no cdma? sweet, no use coming out with one for Verizon, they hardly have any users on this phone…NOT.
FAIL
still mad about verizon selling the dumbed down version of the car dock
No batteries or chargers. Boo.
Not available in your country…again..sigh
Give it time.
Bad news IMHO. It won’t be long before all kinds of other junk is now for sale. All kinds of unrelated stuff will be tossed in with the apps you’re trying to find. Retailers will pay top dollar to put in a ad for teeth whitening in with the millions of daily Play Store shoppers to see!
Why couldn’t they have made a standard size for all “Galaxy Nexus” devices so the accessories would all match?
I’m not impressed with the way they manage the “Nexus” products. I bought the Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus last December, and am still waiting for the desktop dock. There has just been one debacle after another with this phone… I doubt I will be buying any more Nexus phones.
Now you know why a lot of us were doubting the Verizon “Nexus” as being a real Nexus when it was announced.
Has anyone tried this with the Verizon version? I’m tempted to give it a go just to see if it’s close enough to work.

Cheers!
Why do I not see devices on Google Play…..ever? Where is it?!
Wow, that’s some bad advice. The pinouts are different between the GSM and LTE Nexuses. A quick Google search would have told you that. No one should be taking the chance hoping that a $90 accessory will work.
Glad someone in here actually had the sense to remember that lol….
Some people over at XDA are claiming the CDMA version woks perfectly, pins and all…
I have a gnex and in have yet to see any hardware or accessories for sale when I go to the play store. Just apps movies music and books.
Desktop only
Yuppie!
I love it when Google takes matters into their own hands. This is why I loved my Nexus One (if it weren’t for the faulty digitizer by HTC, I would probably still have it.)
For everyone trying to find the “Devices” section in the Play Store, it’s only available in the Desktop version of the Play Store.
I wonder if this will eventually change as they sell more products on the Play Store.
I wonder if this is the reason why the launch of the car dock was delayed in Australia yet again?? They had an initial release date of 18/05 on the Samsung website, which was then changed to 02/06… and now it’s been changed to a rather ominous TBA!! Seriously Samsung… I’m almost considering changing brands and getting a One X instead of an SIII now
So thousands of Americans bought GSM/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus phones from the UK 6 months ago.
And then Google started offering those phones on Google Play a month ago.
And now, only now, does Google start to offer the accessories?
There’s something wrong with the IQ tests Google uses on its job applicants. Something Sling Blade wrong.
please repost this article when items can be bought in US and confirmed workability with Vzw version!
TOo bad it will not work with the LTE Nexus
Ordered! About time Google jumped back in the game! Reminds me of when I got my N1 and car dock. Hope Google stays with this.
